Common Questions
Do you take reservations? add
Yes, and on weekends you'll want one. Send a request through the form and we'll call back to confirm. Walk-ins are welcome too, but the corner tables go to whoever asked first.
Is the pesto really made by hand? add
In the same marble mortar since 1962, pounded fresh every morning before service. No blender. We've been over this with three generations and the answer hasn't changed.
Do you have options for vegetarians or allergies? add
Plenty. The pesto and walnut-sauce pastas are vegetarian, and we'll flag pine nuts, dairy, and gluten on request. One kitchen, one mortar, so we can't promise zero cross-contact.
Can you seat a large family or group? add
That's our favourite kind of night. Put the party size in the reservation note and give us a day's heads-up for anything over eight so we can push the tables together.
Where do people park in the old town? add
The lanes are narrow and mostly pedestrian, so most guests use the public garage a few minutes out and walk in. It's worth the stroll through the carruggi.
What actually is the pine-nut argument? add
It's the family's sixty-year disagreement about how many pine nuts belong in a batch. Nonna says seven, Papa says nine, the granddaughter refuses to commit. You'll be asked to take a side.
